SWEET NICKNAMES: Thibaut Courtois finally reveals the reason why Real Madrid prodigy Endrick, 18, has been affectionately nicknamed ‘Bobby’ by his teammates!
Thibaut Courtois has now shared the reason behind his teammates’ endearing nickname of “Bobby,” which was bestowed onto Real Madrid sensation Enrick.
After agreeing to a six-year contract, the gifted 18-year-old transferred from Brazilian team Palmeiras to the club in the summer and has since made a quick transition.
In addition to being on target against Stuttgart in the Champions League, he made history by becoming the youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for Real Madrid.
With two goals in his first five games in Spain, the adolescent phenom made an immediate impression on the team, earning him an odd moniker.
The strange nickname “Bobby” pays homage to the late, great Sir Bobby Charlton, an icon of Manchester United and England who passed away sadly at the age of 86 last year.

Courtois has since acknowledged that the moniker has a different meaning.
“He told me that he had been misinterpreted, that what he wanted to refer to had changed a bit, or something like that,” he stated, addressing Ibai Llanos.
One day, when I approached him about it, he stated that he hadn’t answered and that the video had since been altered to make it appear as though he had declared himself to be his idol.
After Endrick scored a goal for Brazil against England in March, he cited Charlton as one of his greatest inspirations, adding, “Bobby Charlton is an idol here.”
“It is a historic day to score a goal on the day Ronaldo made his debut, playing in the stadium where Bobby played.”
However, the moniker soon became an inside joke, with Jude Bellingham and Endrick’s fellow countryman Rodrygo among others to publicly use it.
‘Now he’s Bobby,’ Rodrygo stated in an interview with ESPN Brazil. He’s no longer Endrick. He’s realised that joke.
“He’s received positive feedback at Real Madrid, and not just from Brazilians.” At Real, we have an excellent group, and he is part of it.

Away from the pitch, Endrick recently tied the knot with his girlfriend, model Gabriely Miranda, sharing images from their joyous occasion on social media.
Miranda, a 23-year-old, wrote, “Matthew 19:6.” Thus, they are now one flesh instead of two. Thus, nothing can separate what God has assembled.
It’s thought that they first connected less than a year ago. Miranda has more than a million Instagram followers and is a well-known influencer.
